Walling Stone – Sandstone
Sandstone is a strong durable stone, providing a softer warmer look to any project. We can supply and cut to specific sizes or we sell random stone by the ton weight depending upon your requirements.
Or if your requirement is a rough cut natural sandstone for a split walling project for either a random wall or a course wall build, we supply natural sandstone for that. Being based in the Peak District, means we have access to good quality quarried stone and supply high quality material.
At our stone yard we can take large pieces of sandstone and cut them down to slabs, with clean edges and a polished finish. They can be done to bespoke sizes and supplied for any one off project. Our staff are skilled at delivering natural stone projects on time and to our clients brief.
Sandstone has many uses within domestic and commercial architecture, such as this fireplace hearth. A one off piece commissioned by a customer, it was cut to a unique size to fit their fireplace and matches the surrounding stone structure.
We were approached to provide natural Sandstone blocks for a project of building some walling at Ikea in Sheffield. The brief was to supply stone that was right for a split faced random walling build, as you can see, the finished effect is one that looks natural and fits with the local environment (Sandstone is found and quarried around the Sheffield area).
As you can see in the images, we provide the capping stones as well, to protect the wall and finish off the required look.
