At Buxton Architectural Stone we have a range of processing stagesthat we use in our production line, one is our slab cutting process.

The slab cutting process begins by the company buying in large blocks of stone.

The stone is stored in our large stone-yard ready for the process to start.

The large blocks of stone are then taken to our large 3 meter saw and then cut down into ‘manageable’ slices, or, slabs.

These large ‘slabs’, or slices, are then placed onto smaller saws (1.6mtr), where they are then reduced to a more accurate size for any particular requirement.

Further processes, such as masonry, is produced from the blocks, producing  Cills, Heads, Lintels, Jambs, Quoins etc., for each specific individual order.
