<p>However, most of our projects involve supplying large scale flagging, paving and walling for local governments.  This year we have been inundated with projects supplying a lot of commercial work to &#8216;reflag&#8217; our clients streets and pathways.   However, projects like this take a lot of planning and work.</p>

<p><em>On average, if we supply 1000m² of paving, taking the average paving slab size and thickness; we would be supplying between 3000-4000 pieces of paving stone (depending on the size of the stone) at around 190 tonnes!  That is just one job at over 1000m², we have had several running this year &#8211; it&#8217;s a lot of stone production!  What can we do for you?</em></p>

<p>However, a project was commissioned to update the paving and road outside of the front and we were proud to have been asked to supply the bricks for the project.  The client wanted Whitworth stone setts.  Whiteworth is a very hard sandstone, making it idea for somewhere that is going to get a lot of &#8216;traffic&#8217; over the top of it.</p>

<p>Originally, these were used as feet/legs for grain stores; which were small enclosures raised off the ground to help prevent rodents eating the grain.  They had a leg and overall, looked like a mushroom.  We were asked to make the &#8216;tops&#8217; or the saddle part.</p>

<p>We were approached to make a bespoke set of half round coping stones for the top of their lovely sweeping stone wall, so everything flowed and fitted in with the the other properties in the village.</p>

<p>Only the necessary sections were replaced, so as to keep as much of the original stonework in situ.  The dimensions were taken back, programmed into our CNC machine for 100% accuracy, and the stone was produced to exact requirements.</p>

</div><div class="fusion-text fusion-text-32"><p>All of the internal radius’s mouldings and moulded panels were done by hand.  Iain, a talented stonemason, who does work for us, took two weeks, by hand, to get the detailing on the curves.</p>

</div><div class="fusion-text fusion-text-36"><p>However, these natural stone coping stones were not just designed complete the look of this outside area.  They had another purpose. They also hid the lighting, so when the day draws to an end, the whole area looks more enchanted for an evening outside in the patio area.</p>
