Malham Village is a quaint rural community just north of Skipton in the historic West Riding of Yorkshire.  Running through it is the gently bubbling Malham Beck.  A while ago a local resident decided they would like a memorial stone as a village feature to be donated to the community and for all who pass by it to enjoy.

We were commissioned to supply a suitable sized stone.  The stonemason (Sculpture Artist) was Richard Watts from Sheffield who came to our site to apply his skill to the stone.  When it was completed, the delivery company Geo-Siddalls from Matlock, had the job to convey it from our location to Malham, a journey of around 100 miles.

When it got there is was carefully hoisted off the vehicle onto a stone support base in a quiet tranquil setting.

Roy Geddes Bricks (RGB) came to us to supply the walling and cladding stone for the new student accommodation for the University of Lancaster.

The brief was to supply a mixture of our

Ashlar Cladding

and our

Split Faced Walling

so the building exterior gets a contrasting finish all looking natural and in harmony with each other.

The overall effect when viewing the whole building is very striking and effective!

The interior of the building is also finished off in the same manner as the exterior.

It lends itself to a very attractive finish which flows through the whole of the building.

Matlock Green nestled in the Peak District Derbyshire, had a redudant car park which was turned into a new building.  We were asked to supply the cladding in local natural stone reflecting the nature of the surrounding landscape.
